Bidders eligible to submit Bids for this Request for Tenders have been previously selected through the process of a Request for Prequalifications, issued under Project Number C14-20-22 which closed on January 17, 2023. The Project is for construction of a poured in place concrete skateboard park facility approximately 1,100m2 in size. The Project site is located within Alexander Park, located at 201 Whitney Avenue in Hamilton, Ontario. Alexander Park is an existing 4.17-hectare (10.32 acre) neighbourhood park. Existing features within the park include: one hardball field, three softball fields, batting cages, a play structure (2020), swings, spray pad (2018), and a washroom/storage building. A brief summary of the work involved in this Contract is: - 1,200 square metre concrete skatepark - 75 linear metres of armour stone seat walls - Catch basins, area drains, storm sewer connection and associated restoration - 110 cubic metre Below-grade stormwater storage tank - Tree, shrub and perennial planting - Grading, earthwork, and sod - Skatepark lighting, power pedestals and associated electrical works - Park benches, bike and skateboard repair stations and waste receptacles on concrete pads - Steel shade structure The estimated value of this Project is to be between $1,200,000.00 and $1,400,000.00. The project construction start date is weather dependent but is anticipated that construction will commence in June 2023.
