Scope of Work: 1. Removal of asbestos containing fittings above ceilings, the attached report indicates 837 Fair & Poor fittings, for this project assume the number to be 900, with fittings located in various rooms around the school. 2. Do work (including disposal of asbestos containing fittings) in accordance with this specification and with the PEI Occupational Health and Safety Act. 3. Submit and obtain regulatory approval from the PEI WCB/OSH Division for the procedure to be followed during the completion of the asbestos abatement work. Upon award of the contract, the successful asbestos abatement contractor will then submit an Asbestos Notification Permit to the office of WCB - OH&S for approval. A copy of the signed Asbestos Notification Permit is to be submitted to DTI, Attention Tyler Richardson (ttrichardson@gov.pe.ca) and Lance MacNeill (lbmacneill@gov.pe.ca) prior to the start of the contract work. 4. Clean the T-bar grid and ceiling tiles above ceilings in areas where asbestos containing debris has fallen during removal and or has previously fallen, key areas with some discovered fallen debris has been indicated in the report.
