Completed plans call for the construction of a 143,552-square-foot, six-story above grade, 192-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; and for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.
Construction of a new six-storey 140,000 sq ft Long-Term Care Home accommodating 192 beds. Construction will consist of precast concrete planks on concrete bearing walls and masonry veneer. Subject to Provincial and Municipal approvals, work on site is planned to start in September 2023. TIMELINE: RFQ for a Construction Manager has closed. Construction Manager has issued Trade Contractor PREQUALIFICATIONS ONLY; details are followed on separate reports. Awarded trades will not be released for publication. Construction has been delayed and is now expected to begin March 2024. Construction will take approx. 24 months to complete. *Award amount was not released for publication, however the project has been estimated at approx. 50 million.
