Excavate, Crush, & Stockpile Gravel Fort Assiniboine Pit (NW 30-61-5-W5) Approximate Quantities: 215,000 tonnes Des. 4 Cl. 23 35,000 tonnes Des. 4 Cl. 40 Tenders must be accompanied by a Certified Cheque or a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total sum tendered. County of Barrhead reserves the right to accept or reject any Tenders received. The lowest or any Tender may not necessarily be accepted. If further information is required detailing the Tender, please contact Mr. Ken Hove, Director of Infrastructure or Mr. Travis Wierenga, Public Works Manager at (780) 674-2619. A performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond will be the type of security required. The successful bidder will be required to furnish security in a form satisfactory to the Reeve, in the amount of; i) fifty percent (50%) of the Contract tender price as a guarantee for due performance of the Contract, and ii) fifty percent (50%) of the Contract tender price as a guarantee for the payment in full of all claims for labor and for material used or reasonably required for use in the performance of the Contract. Time is of the essence on this project; however, the work cannot commence before June 1, 2022; when commenced, the Work shall be carried out efficiently and expeditiously in order to complete the entire project before November 15, 2022.
