The contract includes pavement preservation, resurfacing, and/or reconstruction on the Island of Hawaii on an as-needed basis. To be eligible for award, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering Contractor's "A" license or Specialty Contractor's "C-3" or "C-3a" license prior to the award of contract. Questions applicable to the Project Specifications should be submitted via HIePRO no later than two days prior to the scheduled date of the pre-bid meeting. The U.S. Department of Transportation Regulation entitled "Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the U.S. Department of Transportation," Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 21 is applicable to this project.
