Last Day for Questions: Friday, May 20, 2022 @ 5:00PM Eastern Contractor Shall: Furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the following: 1. Grassed areas shall be mowed/trimmed to a height of not less than two inches above the surface of the soil. 2. The Contractor will mow and trim as frequently as growing conditions require to ensure grass length does not exceed six inches in height (for ROUGH mowing) and three inches in height (for FINE mowing). 3. All debris (such as wire, bottles, rock, tin cans, sticks, paper and litter) shall be cleared from the area prior to mowing. Accumulated trash and debris will be removed and hauled away from the property. 4. After trimming and mowing, grass clippings and other litter or debris shall be removed. 5. Around all trees, poles, benches, fences, etc. that grow excessive grass that cannot be cut with a mower, the area will need to be edged or grasses removed around these obstacles. Rough mowing to be completed in areas designated on map. Edging and weed eating along terminal building, hangars and pumphouse. Spraying around perimeter fence Hedge trimming around terminal building needs to be done on a consistent schedule to always keep the appearance of the hedges uniform and neat. Roundup all cracks in asphalt and concrete. This includes the taxi way, runway and aircraft parking areas. Black mulch needs to be applied around terminal building a minimum of two times per year. Hedges around terminal need to be replaced with like or similar plants when they die or are damaged. Weed control, fertilizer and ant abatement needs to be applied on a consistent basis to keep the grounds free from weeds, ants and to keep the grounds healthy. St. George Airport Fine mowing to be completed in areas designated on map. Rough mowing to be completed in areas designated on map. Roundup all cracks in asphalt and concrete. This includes the taxi way, runway and aircraft parking areas. Weed control, fertilizer and ant abatement needs to be applied on a consistent basis to keep the grounds free from weeds, ants and to keep the grounds healthy. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond acceptable to the County. Bid bonds must be issued by a corporate surety registered and authorized to do business in the State of South Carolina. Bid bonds shall be payable to the County, shall be for at least five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid, and shall serve as a guarantee deposit that the bid will be carried out to the complete satisfaction of the County. In lieu of a bond, Bidder may submit a certified check or cashier's check in aforesaid amount payable in U.S. funds. Faxed bid bonds will not be acceptable. The successful Bidder shall provide performance and payment bonds, in a form satisfactory to the County, in the following amounts: Payment Bond: 100% of the total amount of the Contract. Performance Bond: 100% of the total amount of the Contract.
