Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Summerville, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Contractor shall mill, clean, pave new, and stripe parking area at the project site, as specified. 1. Mill approximately 37,500 sq. ft. of existing asphalt - full depth removal at curbing. 2. Sweep and remove all debris for clean surface. 3. Tamp and re-compact the existing stone base to ensure a solid foundation for new asphalt. 4. Add new crushed stone as necessary. 5. Apply a tack coat to all edges to ensure the new asphalt properly binds. 6. Pave 2" of new asphalt to approximately 37,500 sq.ft. 7. Ensure compaction with a heavy roller. Roll surface course to achieve maximum density and a true, firm finish to match the existing grade. 8. Lay out and stripe all pavement markings using thermoplastic treatment to match existing layout. 9. Pricing for repair of curb damage incurred with milling, shall be per linear foot. 10. All work is to be scheduled to done on weekends or afterhours to limit service interruptions. 11. Perform utility surveying prior to beginning any work. Utility surveying shall be coordinated with the project manager
