Renovation of a mixed-use development in Bartow, Florida. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Polk County Public Schools is currently prequalifying any general contractor and/or electrical contractor who wishes to submit a proposal for Project No. P-2046 District Wide installation of 6,500 Active upper room ultraviolet germicidal air disinfection systems for occupied spaces. The project is located District wide at all the schools throughout Polk County. There are approximately 140 schools to be receiving these units. The scope of work shall include, without limitation: coordinate pick up, delivery and installation of units at proper locations, mounting units securely to walls, hard piping and wiring from the unit to source of continuous power above ceiling, and caulking of ceiling penetrations. Only prequalified firms will be allowed to provide bids. To prequalify, contractors will need to send all company information, W-9, certificate of insurances, performance bond, and other required documentation to: School Board of Polk County Construction Services ATTN: Rory Luce 1909 South Floral Avenue Bartow, Florida 33830 The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
