This work shall generally include all labor, equipment and materials necessary to remove the old surface and base, prepare site, install new base, lay new asphalt, seal, stripe one basketball court, and restoration of alldisturbed areas and backfilling the edges of the recently replaced court at Mary Anne Park. Replacement of basketball court to include: removal, install new base, prepare site, lay new asphalt, seal, and striping for one individual basketball courts Basketball hoops should remain in place during project. It is up to the discretion of the contractor to determine whether or not to remove the hoops. Should the contractor decide to remove the hoops, it is the contractor's responsibility to replace them at regulation height and offsets at no cost to the City of Woodstock. . Full removal of all asphalt materials and base materials from one basketball court totaling approximately 7,350 Sq. Ft. Each court measures 105 Ft. x 70 Ft. . Compaction and inspection of subgrade material prior to placement of CA-6 aggregate base. Any wet / soft spots in the sub grade prior to the placement of the CA-6 aggregate base shall be undercut and replaced with filter fabric and 3" open graded stone base. This work shall be incidental to the contract. . Installation of 8" thick minimum compacted CA-6 aggregate base. . Paved base course layer installation depth of 2-1/2" of Illinois Class I Bituminous Concrete surface and roll to an approximate compacted depth of 2 . Paved finish layer installation depth of 2" of Illinois Class I Bituminous Concrete Asphalt and roll to an approximate compacted depth of 1-1/2" . Asphalt Court Surface Finishing details shall include the following: . Two (2) Sand sealer applications over entire asphalt surface per court . Two (2) Coats of Nova Stadium Blue acrylic paint (or equal quality paint) per court . Stripe white boundary lines for individual court . Two (2) Free throw arch keys per court . Two (2) Three-point lines per court . One (1) Center line with center circle . Restoration of all disturbed areas and backfilling the edges of the recently replaced courts shall include pulverized black dirt, seed and blanket. Award of the bid will be considered at a later meeting of the Woodstock City Council within at least thirty (30) days of the date of receiving bids. All bids received prior to the specified date and time, which meet or exceed the minimum specifications, will be considered by the City. The City will review each properly submitted bid and will select based upon price, availability, quality and other features of the bid proposals. Bids submitted after 10:00 a.m. will not be considered and will be returned to the bidder. The City of Woodstock reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids, and to select the bid that is considered to be the most advantageous to the City of Woodstock.
