SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking qualifications for the full design services (programming, design, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration), of an architect / engineering team for the completion on this project. The Cardiology department's upgrade of the Siemens equipment within the University Hospital (UH), 6th floor, West wing, Cath lab. This project includes the replacement of the current bi-plane unit with a new single plane unit mounted from the ceiling of the procedure room. The design team will ensure the UPS is adequate for the new equipment loads and verify the current building systems are adequate for the new single plane unit. The design firm is reasonable for the upgrade of all finishes in the project. Verification of all building systems is required. There will be no formal site visit nor will tours of the facility be given prior to the receipt of responses to the RFQ. Minimum ten (10) years' experience in design of Hospital facilities and radiology equipment placement. State University of New York also has a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project. The selected consultant will be required to comply with M/WBE requirements.
