Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Largo, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool; and for site work for a swimming pool.
The Highland Family Aquatic Center is 20 years old and the lap pool and slides platform were installed in 2005. Much of the infrastructure of the facility has reached the end of its life cycle and is in need of replacement or major renovations. The project includes resurfacing of the lap pool; there are cracked and peeling areas. The renovations of slide platforms to replace broken and loose railings and rusty screws will be included. The slides will be sandblasted and repainted. Another goal is to replace the corkscrew slide and resurface the speed slide.There will also be a major renovation or replacement of the cool deck to fix cracking and chipping. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of April 17,2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
