The project will be awarded on July 19th, 2022.** Brunswick County is soliciting bids for the repair of an existing 48" PCCP Raw Waterline located in an easement off Black Rock Rd. in Riegelwood, NC. A leak has developed on the existing 48" PCCP Raw Waterline. Approximately 40 feet of 48" PCCP is to be removed and replaced with 48" DIP. Two (2) 48" PCCP to DIP adapters are to be installed to accept the 48" DIP. All materials associated with the proposed repair will be provided by Brunswick County. There is a parallel 54" Raw Waterline which will be used to bypass the leak location. Brunswick County can isolate the leak location and help reduce the pressure of the line via a blowoff in the vicinity of the repair section. Minimum of 48-hour notice is to be given to Brunswick County to redirect the flow to the 54" parallel line. The contractor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: o All equipment and labor to perform the repair and restore site to original conditions o All labor, equipment and materials to properly dewater the site o All safety and shoring materials to perform the repair o Load and deliver Brunswick County supplied materials stored at the Kings Bluff Pump Station located at 246 Private Rd. Riegelwood, NC 28456 to the repair site o Any unknown additional materials not shown in the Bid Form. Payment for any unknown materials will be paid through the Change Order/Additional Materials Allowance Item shown on the Bid Form. Brunswick County may negotiate and refine a final Scope of Work with the selected bidder. Any changes to the Scope of Work will be made in the form of an addendum hereto that will be supplied to all known interested bidders and posted on the County's website.
