Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The work includes the removal of existing concrete/asphalt and replacement of the same, in the South and North ADA Parking Areas. See the drawings for details. Demolish the existing concrete sidewalks and asphalt parking areas. Properly and legally dispose of the concrete and asphalt debris off site. Excavate the sub grade as required for installation of new aggregate and to achieve the appropriate slope for the ADA parking spaces. Install four inches of clean compacted aggregate for the new paving and sidewalk concrete. Install expansion joints and formwork as required for the new concrete. Furnish, pour, place and finish paving concrete (six inches deep) in the new ADA parking areas with 6x6 W 1.4 x W 1.4 welded wire fabric. Furnish, pour, place, and finish concrete (four inches deep) at the sidewalks per the plans. All concrete is to be 4,000 psi. Patch back asphalt up to the new asphalt as needed. Paint new parking lines and install new ADA parking sign according to code and according to the plans. Cover over incorrect parking lines and handicap parking sign so that they are no longer visible. Provide construction fencing to prevent non-authorized persons from entering the site. When finished, clean up the site to the state it is in prior to the work commencing. Complete all work within 30 calendar days of KCDC's Notice to Proceed/issuance of purchase order. This bid will be "opened" electronically and interested parties may attend via Zoom only. To obtain the Zoom link, email procurementinfo@kcdc.org. The bid tabulation is normally posted to KCDC's webpage within four hours of the bid opening time. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required if the total bid exceeds $100,000 in value. The supplier will include all bonding costs in the base bid. A bid bond from each supplier equivalent to 5% of the bid price. Such bid bond must accompany the bid. Bid bonds will not be returned until a contract is signed. Performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price. Liquidated damages of $300.00 per calendar day for each day beyond the scheduled completion date apply and are included in the award. This applies to the scheduled completion date for each phase of the approved project schedule. KCDC reserves the right to request additional information to assist in the evaluation process including references and business ability information.
