Demolition and Removal of Debris - 380 E. Washington Street (Old Ramada Inn) The intent and purpose of this Invitation for Bid is to establish a firm price for all labor, materials and equipment necessary for demolition and removal of debris of property located at 380 E. Washington Street (Old Ramanda Inn), Petersburg, Virginia in accordance with the Specifications and General Conditions of the Contract The City of Petersburg requires that all structures within the City to be maintained in good repair, structurally sound, and reasonably protected against decay and deterioration in compliance with Volume II -Building Maintenance Code of the Uniform Statewide Building Code. The City had declared the property located at 380 E. Washington Street as an Unsafe and Unsecured Structure that is Unfit for Human Habitation pursuant to Virginia Property Maintenance Code 106.2 (Exhibit A). The City had the condition of the building assessed and received the attached Ramada Inn Observation documentation dated March 10,2021 (Exhibit B). The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to demolish the property located at 380 E. Washington Street (Tax Parcel # 012-290001). This includes the complete removal of all building and demolition materials from the site and the restoration of the site by grading and permanent seeding of that site within 60 days of the notice to proceed. All materials removed from the site must be taken to a qualified landfill. The contractor must take precautions to minimize dust debris.
