Monterey Peninsula College Graphic Arts & Nursing Site Improvement Project Monterey Peninsula Community College District is inviting bids for the Graphic Arts and Nursing Site Improvement Project. Engineer's Estimate: $600,000.00 This renovation is projected to be in construction from May to August, 2023. Scope of work consists of: Removal and replacement of sidewalks and plaza at the Graphic Arts and Nursing buildings, including: Surveying, staking, demolition, removal and replacement of existing site features, grading, site preparation, underground utility relocation as necessary, and installing concrete paving, hand rails, curbs, retaining walls, path lighting, and erosion control measures. All questions about the project should be submitted online at Planet Bids. MPC Governing Board approval is tentatively scheduled for February 22, 2023. Pursuant to the Contract Documents, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, and a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. The Owner will not consider or accept any bids from contractors who are not licensed to do business in the State of California, in accordance with the California Public Contract Code, providing for the licensing of contractors. In accordance with Section 3300 of the Code, the bidder shall have a Class "B" or Class "A" license and shall maintain that license in good standing through Contract Completion and all applicable warranty periods. This is a Division of State Architect project. This is a Prevailing Wage project. Prevailing Wage information can be accessed at www.dir.ca.gov. LATEST DATE/TIME FOR SUBMITTAL OF PRE-BID QUESTIONS 5:00 PM January 20, 2023 Bidders may submit pre-bid inquiries or clarification requests. Bidders are solely and exclusively responsible for submitting such inquiries or clarification requests by January 25,2023 at 5 PM. The Monterey Peninsula College GRAPHIC ARTS & NURSING SITE IMPROVEMENTS project consists of removal of approx. 13,000 sf of existing sidewalks and sitework and installing new ADA compliant walkways, stairs, ramps, and plaza. Work includes but not limited to: surveying, staking, demolition, removal and replacement of existing site features, grading, site preparation, underground utility relocation as necessary, and installing concrete paving, curbs, retaining walls, path lighting, and erosion control measures. 2. The Contractor shall be responsible for scheduling and coordinating the work with the MPC Staff, Representatives, and contractors on other MPC projects working concurrent with this project. Reference paragraph 1.04 of this section. 3. The work to be done includes all labor, tools and equipment necessary to furnish and install all materials and equipment shown on the drawings and described herein and to perform tests described herein, to provide complete and operating systems to the extent specified and shown on the drawings. The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, material and supplies, except where specifically noted as existing or supplied by the District.
