Award amount is $2,797,361.80** Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% (Ten Percent) of the total bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 payable to the County of Hunterdon. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. Hunterdon County acts as Lead Agency in a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with two (2) registered members mentioned in the bid specifications. Under this system, the County of Hunterdon solicits competitive bids for certain items purchased by registered members. This is a Cooperative Pricing System as defined and regulated by N.J.A.C. 5:34-7.1 et seq. Interested citizens or vendors may obtain information regarding the manner of operation of this system by contacting the Hunterdon County Purchasing Agent. System Number 51-HCCPS, approved by the New Jersey Division of Local Government Services through October 15, 2024. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject all bids or to waive any minor informality in the Proposal received and to accept bids all in accordance with applicable law The work to be performed under this contract consists of the application of bituminous surface treatment or resurfacing of various County roads to the extents shown on the attached location maps. Resurfacing consists of milling the existing pavement surface, repairing roadway base as directed, resetting stormwater facilities and utility valve boxes, and placing new Hot Mix Asphalt Surface Course. Bituminous surface treatment is typically referred to as chip seal, and involves preparation of the existing pavement surface, application of emulsified asphalt and placement and compaction of aggregate. Ancillary construction of beam guide rail, stormwater facility repairs, and landscape items are also included in the project. Multiple Locations Are Available In This Project.
