The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting bids from qualified contractors to supply labor, materials, equipment, and supplies to install (1) 54 linear feet of an aluminum box culvert 15'-6" span, 7'-3" rise, (2) 49.5 linear feet of an aluminum box culvert 13'-3" span, 6'-8" rise and (3) 58.5 linear feet of an aluminum box culvert 15'-6" span, 7'-3" rise. Construction of approximately 345 linear feet of anadromous stream channel, including vegetated banks, toe wood, and habitat features. The project will upgrade the existing 2 unpaved roads and 1 paved road to MSB residential standards. This project will involve, but is not limited to, clearing, grubbing, unclassified excavation, approximately 6,180 tons of Borrow, Type B, approximately 2,274 tons of Borrow, Type IIA, approximately 595 tons of Aggregate Surface Course, Grading E-1, approximately 300 tons of Ditch Lining. Additional items include removal of the existing culvert, planting of trees, stream diversion and dewatering, and topsoil and seeding.
