Site work for an educational facility in College Station, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.

Texas A&M University (TAMU) is soliciting proposals for a mission-tested, turn-key, commercial-off-the-shelf enterprise-wide digital signage solution. The primary goal of the digital signage will be to provide both informational and promotional content to students, faculty, staff, and guests. The secondary goal will be to provide notifications related to emergencies and critical business operations. Each vendor responding to this Request for Proposal (RFP) may propose more than one solution. Each proposed solution must be packaged as a separate complete response to this RFP. The current digital signage solution used by TAMU resides on premise. Content publishers authenticate via domain account or authentication built into the solution. The primary method of publishing content is a Windows desktop application, with a secondary browser-based application. Signage players are typically Windows 10 machines (specifically Intel NUC and similar mini-computers), but we also have some iOS devices (iPads), a few Intel Compute Sticks, and a few System-on-Chip devices (particularly, Samsung SSP displays). Signage players are distributed across TAMU campuses around the state of Texas. TAMU operates the current solution under a shared service model. Content displayed on each sign is controlled by the unit that owns the sign. Scope of Work Please provide a complete response for each item in the remaining sections of this RFP. Providing only a reference to pages in other documentation will not necessarily constitute a valid response. The term "organization" used in this RFP refers to an independent group of digital signage administrators and content publishers defined in the proposed solution that is managed by TAMU without vendor intervention. For example, one organization would support Texas A&M University's main campus in College Station, Texas, while another organization would support Texas A&M University's School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas. A. Architecture / Availability / Security / Scalability / Maintenance 1. Describe the proposed solution's delivery technology (e.g., cloud, on premise, or hybrid). 2. Describe how the proposed solution functions. a. Include details of how the solution is a turnkey solution with all configuration and support originating from one provider. b. List all other providers and their systems that are included as part of the solution. c. Describe how the proposed solution will provide "High Availability" (HA) as TAMU's digital signage solution. Identify any single points of failure and how they can be mitigated. Include details of how HA is supported for each cloud-based service that is included in the solution. d. Provide details about the solution's scalability and how it can be upgraded and enhanced as: i. TAMU's digital signage requirements change (e.g., specific software upgrades, feature enhancements, additional organizations, additional channels, additional numbers of subscribers, etc.). ii. The digital signage industry continues to mature and new standards/guidelines are applied to the industry. e. Describe how the solution supports digital signage at multiple organizations at geographically separate locations across North America and the world. Include any limitations or additional requirements for the solution to provide this type of support. Multiple Locations Are Available In This Project.
