As of July 19, 2022m project was awarded to TUCCI & SONS INC with an awarded amount of $1,612,609.75. Construction will begin July. The work to be performed within 60 working days from the date of Notice to Proceed consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and other work or items incidental thereto for: Schedules A & B will include Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Overlay of up to five (5) sites, all within the City ofTukwila. Specific tasks shall include, but are not necessarily limited to: Paving with HMA, planing bituminous pavement, and pavement repairs; Adjusting surface utilities to grade; installing drainage modifications; Installation of traffic loops and junction boxes; installing new signal controller and controller cabinet at 200th and Orillia Rd; installing new channelization and signage; Removing and replacing concrete curbs, sidewalks, driveways, and ramps; relocating RRFB system at pedestrian crossing at the intersection of S 144th St and 46th Ave S Providing all necessary traffic control labos- and devices; And. other items necessary to complete the Work as shown on the Contract Documents. Proposals received later than the submittal deadline will not be accepted. The City will not be liable for delays in delivery of proposals due to handling by the U.S. Postal Service or any other type of delivery service. Faxed or emailed submittals will not be accepted. All bid proposals shall be submitted according to the Information for Bidders and be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in the form of a cash deposit, certified or cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond made payable to the City of T ukwila, for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid, including sales tax. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the specifications, the bid deposit/bond. shall be forfeited to the City of Tukwila. The City of Tukwila hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contracts entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any informalities in the bidding and make the award as deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
