Site work and paving for a road / highway in Marathon, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Village of Marathon City will be accepting sealed bids for milling and laying of asphalt as specified below. Bids need to include price for milling, fine grading, base course preparation, paving with WisDOT Spec Type MT asphalt mix compacted to thickness specified per street segment, price per ton of asphalt and estimated tonnage for each street segment listed below. Project Area and Specifications: A. Market Street from Third to First Street 1. Provide traffic control signing and flagging as needed for our operations. 2. Pulverize existing roadway for base course. Coordinate hauling excess material with owner to village site. 3. Sweep and prep for asphalt overlay. 4. Apply tack coat prior to paving the surface course. 5. Fine grade, water, and compact the base course material. 6. Pave with WisDOT Spec. Type 4MT 58-28S asphalt mix compacted to an average thickness of 2 1/2 inches. Portions of this project will be funded with Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) funding. The contractor shall be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rate as established by law. Questions can be directed to Andy Kurtz, Village Administrator, at 715-443-2221.
