Renovation of a municipal facility in San Rafael, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The project entails the installation of a generator connection enclosure, and related electrical infrastructure equipment at the location, in order to connect a portable generator to the facility during power outages. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class "B" License at time of bid submittal. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the County of Marin shall accompany the Proposal. Electronic bid bonds are not acceptable. Award of contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder whose proposal complies with prescribed requirements, and will be within forty (40) days after receipt of proposals. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the right to waive any irregularities. The provisions of California Public Contract Code 22300, regarding substitution of securities for monies withheld to ensure performance shall apply to this contract. Project Description: The work entails several non-structural changes to the existing floorplans of both East and West buildings. These repairs are to be accomplished in a specific sequence, to minimize disruption and accommodate work flow. Demolition will be selective and dust/noise protection barriers will be needed to isolate each area of activity on each floor
