The work included repairs to Pier 35 to restore the capacity back to the pier in order to safely demolish Building 35. The pier repairs include the repairing of corrosion spalling on the underdeck and pile caps, the jacketing of the steel piles down to 10 feet below Mean Lower Low Water, and the addition of 2 or 4 anodes on the steel piles based on the exposed length of pie below the jacket. A siltation curtain and debris boom shall be around the work area when work is done over water. The demolition of Building 35 includes , but not limited to, all of the contents of Building 35 and both the port and starboard elevators above the their concrete encasement. Projects, the estimated price range for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. A siltation curtain and debris boom shall be around the work area when work is done over the water. Prior to the demolition of Building 35, the repairs must be completed to the pier structure in order to restore it back to as-built condition. The as-built load ratings can be found on Sheet G-003 of the drawings. The Contractor must also verify the Hazardous Material Survey and contents of the building. As part of the design, a Hazardous Materials Survey was conducted by Wilcox and Barton to identify and locate the hazardous materials on site. *Addendum 1 has been uploaded.
