Replace cracked, broken or defective concrete sidewalks. Repair or replace cracked, broken or defective concrete curbs and curb and gutter, as directed by Architect. Drill test cores where directed by Architect when necessary to determine magnitude of cracks or defective areas. Fill drilled core holes in satisfactory pavement areas with Portland cement concrete bonded to pavement with epoxy adhesive. Chesapeake Public Schools reserves the right to cancel the bid opening or to reject any or all bids in whole or part when it is in the best interest of Chesapeake Public Schools. The right to waive any and all informalities and to determine responsibility of all bidders is reserved to Chesapeake Public Schools. The Owner reserves the right to negotiate any aspect of this bid with the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. No bid or any part thereof may be withdrawn or canceled or modified for 90 days after the bid opening, with the exception that bids may be withdrawn after opening in accordance with the procedures for Withdrawal of Bids, Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia. A bidder's bond or certified check will be required in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid.
