Renovation of a municipal facility in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade municipal facility.
LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 22% LBE 9.2% MBE; 3.7% WBE; 9.1% OBE. This project involves the renovation of the 2nd floor Men/Women restrooms in an 8-story office building, originally built in 1959. The restrooms were previously renovated in 1989. Those restrooms will be combined to form a single all-gender restroom. Within the defined work area, all finishes, toilet accessories, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, partition walls and HVAC equipment shall be demolished and replaced to accommodate the new restroom layout. Modifications and upgrades to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical and lighting will be done to accommodate the new layout. The scope of work also include a new lactation room with sink. The building will be occupied during construction. REQUIREMENTS: (Refer to Project Manual for a complete list) 1) Class "B" license required to bid. 2) Pursuant to San Francisco Administrative Code ("Administrative Code") Section 6.25 and Chapter 25 of the Environment Code, "Clean Construction" is required for the performance of all work. 3) Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. 4) LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 22% LBE. 5) Good Faith Efforts. In accordance with Administrative Code Chapter 14B requirements, all bidders shall submit documented good faith efforts with their bids, except those who exceed the above stated LBE subcontracting participation requirement by 35%. Bidders must achieve 80 out of 100 points to be deemed responsive. Bidders wil receive 15 points for attending the pre-bid conference. Refer to C MD Form 2B. Refer to Section 01 31 33 for more details. CONTRACT DURATION: 90 consecutive calendar days from NTP to Substantial Completion. A corporate surety bond or certified check for ten percent (10%) of the amount bid must accompany each bid. Administrative Code Section 6.22(a) requires all construction greater than $25,000 to include performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract award. Class B license is required to bid
