Base and All Options Value (Total Contract Value): $29500.00 Objective: A Professional Engineer is needed to Evaluate the existing industrial ventilation to the Shop 57 Insulation department and develop technical specifications the can be later used by NNSY to purchase a new dust collector. The new dust collector will provide industrial ventilation so that insulation can be safely produced for NNSY availabilities. 2. Background Introduction: Shop 57 relies on an existing AAF dust collector to provide industrial ventilation to manufacture insulation for NNSY availabilities. The existing American Air Filter (AAF) dust collector is over 30 years old. The dust collector has had numerous maintenance issues which essential shut down operations until the issues are resolved. In addition the performance of the machine has deteriorated. A new dust collector is needed to provide maintenance free, reliable industrial ventilation so that Shop 57 can perform its work. 3. Breadth and Limitations of Work: This contract will involve acquiring the service of a Professional Engineer to evaluate the existing system and then develop a technical specification for a new dust collector, additional ducting, and any additional equipment. This contract does not include the purchase of any material or installation service. Section B: Applicable Documents Documentation: "Industrial Ventilation: A Manual of Recommended Practice for Design," 30th Edition. American Council of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH). Section C: Requirements 4. Scope of Work: 4.1. This scope covers the requirements for ordering a service to 1) evaluate the existing Shop 57 dust collector and ducting 2) develop the technical ordering specifications for the purchase of a new dust collector which will provide industrial ventilation service to the Insulation Section of Shop 57 in Building 234 INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS--COMMERCIAL ITEMS (NOV 2021) (ADDENDUM) Interested offerors shall submit their Offers to sabrina.r.evans.civ@us.navy.mil Acknowledgement of timely receipt of offers will be made by Ms. Evans as soon as practicable upon receipt.
