Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ottawa, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The City of Ottawa, Illinois will receive sealed bids for replacement of concrete curb & gutter and concrete pavement on various streets. This work includes replacement of approximately 3,550 ft. of curb & gutter, 225 sy. of concrete pavement, 380 sy. of driveways, 12,230 sf. of sidewalks including 25 ramps with detectable warnings, 14 inlets with 615 ft. of 10" & 12" storm sewers and related construction and restoration. No proposal will be received unless accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Illinois, payable without condition to the City of Ottawa, Illinois in an amount not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond eachin 100% of the amount of the contract or a letter of credit. The form of bonds or letter of credit will be satisfactory to the City. The Contractor shall pay prevailing wages as required for public contracts and conform to the requirements of a "Responsible Bidder" as defined by City Ordinance No. 28-2010. All Contractors and Subcontractors must register ($100.00 fee) annually to work in the City of Ottawa. They must also furnish a current $10,000.00 license or permit bond. All work will be completed by September 16, 2022.
