A Cashiers Check, Certified Check, or Surety Bond in the Amount of (5%) of the Bid Shall Accompany the Submit- Ted Proposal of Each Bidder. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids. A. The work and materials to be furnished by this Contractor consist generally of the following items: 1. Furnish complete installation of electric service facilities, feeder wiring, panelboards, branch circuit wiring, wiring devices, and other work indicated on the drawings or called for in these specifications. 2. Grounding of the equipment of each electrical system. 3. Motors: a. Where necessary, install motor starters and VFDs. Electrical contractor shall install disconnects, motor starters, controllers and VFDs and all related power wiring and conduit as necessary for a complete and functional installation. Provide shielded cable equal to Belden classic 100% VFD cable or equal between VFD and motor. b. Where dampers or louvers with dampers are required to be interlocked with intake or exhaust fans or other similar motors, provide 120V power to the damper. Refer to mechanical plans for locations and quantities of dampers. 4. Provide 120V power to all BAS control panels. Coordinate with controls contractor for quantity and locations. 5. Furnish temporary electric power service, power distribution and lighting to construction site. 6. Unless specified otherwise, furnish power conductors, conduit, and wiring and make connections to equipment and devices installed under other Divisions and Sections. 7. Install telephone and data systems as indicated on plans. 8. All necessary drilling, cutting, and patching of walls, floors, partitions, ceilings, etc., required for the proper installation of the work under this contract shall be done at the contractor's expense in a neat, careful, and workmanlike manner and as approved by the Architect. No concrete joints, beams, girders, or columns shall be cut by the contractor without first obtaining the written permission of the Architect. All drilling and patching for expansion bolts, hangers, and other supports shall be done by the contractor subject to the approval of the Architect. The contractor shall provide fire caulking or fire stop where required as a result of electrical penetrations through fireresistant-rated walls, partitions, floors, or ceilings. Use grout to seal around electrical penetrations in non fire-resistant-rated walls, partitions, floors, or ceilings. 9. Provide concrete housekeeping pads for all ground-mounted electrical equipment such as inverters, generators, transformers, etc. Unless noted otherwise on plans, concrete pads shall be 4" tall and larger than the footprint of the equipment by at least 3" on all sides. 10. Provide uni-strut frames for equipment (such as panel boards) where it is not possible to mount directly to structure. 11. Contractor shall verify that electrical gear locations have adequate code-required clearance with other trades prior to rough-in.
