The purchase of water meters for the City of Coshocton Bid Guaranty: Bidder shall furnish a Bid Guaranty, as prescribed in Sections 153.54, 153.57, and 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code, in the form of either. 1) a bond for the full amount of the bid in the form of the Bid Guaranty; or (2) a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit in a form satisfactory to the Owner in an amount equal to 10% of the bid. Bid amount shall be the total of all sums bid. Should any bid be rejected, each bond or cashier's check shall be forthwith returned to the bidder; and should any bid be accepted, such bond or cashier's check will be returned upon proper execution and securing of the contract. The successful bidder will be required to execute a contract within ten (10) days after the award of the contract. In case of failure to execute the contract as stated, the bidder will be considered to have abandoned the contract and the bond or check accompanying the proposal shall be forfeited to the City not as a penalty but as liquidated damages. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the contract to the lowest or best bidder. Each proposal must contain the full name of every person or company interested in same. The City reserves the right to reject any bid that does not contain evidence of satisfactory completion of similar contracts. The City reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids and form.
