Site work and paving for a road / highway in Peoria, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Project 1: HIGH QUALITY AGGREGATE POLYMER MODIFIED SLURRY SEAL CONTRACT - 2022: The proposed improvement consists of applying High Quality Aggregate Polymer Modified Slurry Seal on surfaces at locations designated in the bid document or as directed by the City. Work may also include crack sealing, or other types of construction as needed. The Contractor shall furnish all materials and equipment, and provide all traffic control. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to sweep the streets before the slurry seal is applied. Necessary adjustments, incidentals and appurtenant items shall be constructed as directed by the City. Project 32: SEAL-COATING CONTRACT - 2022: The proposed improvement consists of constructing a single course bituminous surface treatment Type A-1. This work shall be done in accordance with Section 403 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction adopted January 1, 2022, at locations designated in the bid document or as directed by the City. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to sweep the streets both before the seal-coat operation and after the aggregate is placed to remove loose aggregate. The specified aggregate is CA16 trap rock. The loose aggregate swept will be hauled to the City property on Darst Street or as directed by the City. Necessary adjustments, incidentals and appurtenant items shall be constructed as directed by the City. All provisions regarding EEO, prevailing wage, certified payroll, and DBE and WBE requirements shall be strictly enforced. All work shall be in compliance with specifications and all state and federal laws and regulations. All proposals must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Within 24 hours after the letting, the two low bidders must file an "Affidavit of Availability" Form BC 57 in triplicate. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond for the full amount of the contract, with sureties, to be approved by the City Engineer. Compliance with the IllinoisPrevailing Wage Act is required under this contract. The City of Peoria reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals.
