Renovation of an educational facility in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Base Bid will be received for: A single lump sum bid for All Work. Project work includes replacing approximately 21,000 SF of a built-up roofing system with a fully adhered Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) roof system, including all flashings and metal roof edges. The existing roof systems, flashing, and associated materials will be removed and properly inspected to ensure it is clean and free of defects and new insulation with an average R-value equal to 25.2 will be installed. The roof systems will be tapered to drain areas as needed. The vapor retarder will be inspected during construction and if necessary, replaced. The skylight assemblies and curbs will be removed and replaced with new insulated curbs and more thermally efficient skylight glazing assemblies. Staging areas will be strictly defined and coordinated with campus to ensure pedestrian safety and underground utilities are protected as roof replacement proceeds. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted.
