Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The project sites are located at Rick Drazner Park (401 Aptakisic Road) and Willow Stream Pool (600 Farrington Drive). The project sites are open to the public and any site visits do not need to be scheduled with the Park District prior to arrival. The park improvements consist of pickelball court pavement reconstruction, installation of new curb, color coat, removal and replacement of HMA pathways, installation of PCC sidewalk, storm sewer improvements, and fence and gate installation. All bidders will submit, separate from the sealed bid, a résumé of similar projects performed, enumerated, as to location, type of work, approximate completion date, and project engineering firms. Additionally, all bidders will submit a list of equipment owned by, or available to them, for the efficient pursuance of the project. Interpretations will be given to bidders as to the meaning of the drawings and specifications until 4 pm on June 8, 2022. Requests for clarifications must be submitted by e-mail to Tom Rychlik, trychlik@gha-engineers.com, and John Bradley, jbradley@gha-engineers.com with Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. prior to that date and time. Any replies to requests that are received will be issued in writing as an addendum to all bidders. All addenda to bidders are to be incorporated in the bids and will become part of the contract documents. Requests for information received after 4 pm on June 8, 2022 will not be allowed. After submission of the proposal, no complaint or claim that there was any misunderstanding in regard to items listed for bidding will be entertained. Bidders will be provided a Zoom Meeting invitation for the time set for opening in the Invitation to Bid and a blank bid tabulation will be attached. A representative from the Park District will open and read off the bids through the BHFX sealed electronic bidding process. A second representative from the Park District along with a representative from Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. will be present as witness. The Zoom Meeting will be recorded. A bid tabulation will be created, emailed out to all bidders, and posted on the Park District website for public viewing. Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. will reach out to the apparent low bidder(s) after the Zoom Meeting in order to set up a time for a scope review. The Board of Commissioners of the Buffalo Grove Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make an award that is in the best interest of the Park District.
