Site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Fort Myers, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
1.1. Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified Contractor to perform replacement of the Big Carlos Pass Bridge including utility work, roadway, bridge construction, bridge demolition, and drainage improvements on Estero Boulevard from Estrellita Drive to the Entrance to Lovers Key Park Bayside in the Town of Fort Myers Beach and the City of Bonita Springs, Florida. Work will consist of the following: o road reconstruction with drainage improvements, o storm water management facilities, o removal and relocation of existing utilities, o new 14 span bridge over Big Carlos Pass, o removal of existing bascule bridge, o dredging a new navigational channel, o installation of water main, for LCU, o alternate bids for a Fishing Pier; BSU water main; and creation of a new fishing reef. 1.2. All work performed is to follow Federal, State, Local, OSHA, and County mandated regulations and specifications for associated work. 1.3. The scope is further defined and detailed within Exhibits E-N found attached to the draft construction agreement affixed to this solicitation package as well as within the plans associated with this project. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all documentation associated with this project.
