The project includes partial removal and replacement of gravel, installation of subbase and asphalt for a parking lot, driveways and installation of arch pipe at Dardanelle State Park in Russellville, Arkansas as described in the plans and specifications. The successful bidder will agree to complete all work described in plans and specifications within 30 calendar days of the written Notice to Proceed. Failure to complete the work within specified time limits shall subject the contractor to liquidated damages for delay. The attention of bidders is called to the fact that Act 150 of 1965 (as amended), Arkansas Statutes, states that a Contractor must be licensed by the State Licensing Board for Contractors before he may undertake work when the cost thereof in Arkansas is Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) or more. The City of Russellville encourages participation of small, minority, and woman owned business enterprises in the procurement of goods, services and construction, either as a general contractor or subcontractor. It is further requested that whenever possible, majority contractors who require sub-contractors seek qualified small, minority and woman owned businesses to partner with them.
