The purpose of this Prequalification process is to establish a list of qualified General Contractors for demolition projects of facilities within the City of Hamilton. The criteria shown are meant to provide a standard quality for managerial and technical capability as many demolition projects commence near residential neighbourhoods and recreational areas (i.e., parks or public gathering areas) and the process requires due diligence and effective controls with the aim to minimize risk to all stakeholders involved. Bid submissions received from prequalified Applicants on Demolition Projects as a result of this Request for Prequalification will be considered for future specified tendered projects for a three-year period. Project budgets will vary per each facility. This Prequalification for Demolition Contractor will apply to any project budget, in accordance with the City's Procurement By-Law No. 17-064, section 5.3 Request for Tenders.
