The Western Virginia Water Authority (WVWA or Authority), is requesting sealed bids for a contract to supply Class 52 ductile iron fittings in assorted sizes to FIELD OPERATIONS. The attached scope of work and specifications are submitted for your review and proposal consideration. Furnish, deliver, and unload Ductile Iron Fittings used in the installation, repair, or replacement of water and sanitary sewer systems. Goods shall be delivered and unloaded at the Authority's warehouse located at 3322 Hollins Road, Roanoke, VA, or at jobsites within the Authority's service area. If a contract is awarded, the successful bidder(s) shall enter into a six-month contract with the Authority to provide the goods and services as defined in this invitation. The six-month period shall begin on July 1, 2022. Agreements shall be executed within thirty days of bid opening. It is not the intent of the specifications to be proprietary, or to exclude any manufacturer or dealer. Any brand names used in these specifications are for comparison only. Deviations and/or alternates will be given consideration if they are considered to be suitable and acceptable for comparison. Any deviations or alternates must be submitted, in writing, and clearly identified in the bid. Deviations or alternates discovered after bid award or material receipt, not stated in the bid, shall be grounds for disqualification and nullification of order. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
