The City of Dickinson is soliciting a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Debris Removal Services. The City is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide clean-up, demolition, removal, reduction and disposal of debris as directed by the City following a natural disaster. The City intends to utilize the awarded contract on an "as needed" basis. This shall be a three (3) year contract utilized on an as needed basis with the option to renew for an additional two (2) year period upon the mutual consent of both parties. Note: There will be no public proposal opening meeting. Firms may submit proposals for any or all activities. Multiple contracts may be awarded as a result of this solicitation. The City of Dickinson will, in its sole discretion, determine the number of contracts awarded, and may decide not to award any contracts. Proposals shall be valid for a period of sixty (60) days from the date they are opened. The City of Dickinson is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. Section 3 Residents, Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit proposals. Historically underutilized Businesses (HUBs) are encouraged to submit a proposal. Each proposal must be received by Owner before the stated time on the day the proposals are due. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received and to award said proposals in the best interest of the Owner. The CITY OF DICKINSON is requesting proposals from experienced firms to enter into a pre-event contract at no immediate cost to the CITY OF DICKINSON for the following services. Contractors shall provide clean-up, demolition, removal, reduction, and disposal of debris resulting from a natural or manmade disaster as directed by the CITY OF DICKINSON to eliminate immediate threats to the public health and safety. Also required is the elimination of immediate threats of significant damage to improved public or private property and that which is considered essential to ensure economic recovery of the affected community. Contractors shall also provide disaster recovery technical program management assistance to CITY OF DICKINSON officials. One or more proposers may be selected to provide differing elements or levels of scope of work in accordance with the capabilities and extent of involvement each respondent proposes. This shall be a three (3) year contract utilized on an as needed basis with the option to renew for an additional two (2) year period upon the mutual consent of both parties The CITY OF DICKINSON is not responsible for any expenses, which proposers may incur in the preparation and submittal of proposals requested by this RFP, including but not limited to, costs with travel, accommodations, interviews, or presentations of proposals.
