The District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) requires Services to Monitor, Operate and Maintain Intrusion and Fire Alarm Systems. This contract will be awarded for a three-year period commencing September 1, 2022 with three possible one-year extensions. It is the expectation of the DSBN that the selected Service Company will provide the below required services as a complete integrated package. The service company shall be fully responsible and accountable to provide all required services. If additional parties or subcontractors are to be used, they must be approved by the DSBN and not changed without prior approval of the DSBN. The DSBN owns and operates 100 Facilities within the Regional Municipality of Niagara, servicing the needs of Public School education for approximately 36,000 students. In addition, the DSBN permits use of its facilities for a wide variety of community users, 7 days a week throughout the calendar year. In the school year of 2018-19 there were a total of approximately 825 permits for use issued. In order to control and protect the DSBN's facilities and assets, the Board is seeking the services of a qualified monitoring, operation and maintenance service provider for its intrusion and fire alarm systems. The DSBN has a Facility Access, Key Control and Intrusion Alarm Policy (F-3) which is attached as Appendix D. This policy is intended to act as a "blueprint" for the Board's operations to provide reasonable access to facility users but at the same time protect and secure the Board's property and assets
