Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Columbia, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
The University of South Carolina is seeking a qualified source to provide Asbestos Abatement and Demolition for the Humanities Building in accordance with the terms and conditions contained herein. o The Contractor shall provide proper removal and disposal of all components coated with black mastic that are included in the demo plans for the HVAC renovation. Prior to removal of the mechanical components, o The Contractor shall be responsible for removal and disposal of the ceiling tile and gridwork. o The Contractor shall ensure that the perimeter grid is attached to asbestos-containing drywall/joint compound. o The Contractor shall ensure that OSHA Class III work practices are utilized for removal, and the gridwork is either cleaned prior to disposal or disposed of as asbestos containing.
