The base bid work shall consist essentially of installing access road to Lowery Island for westbound traffic on U.S. Highway 90 off Jerry St. Pe' Highway (SR 617). This work will include earthwork, milling, asphalt pavement, drainage improvements, guard rail, slotted curb, signage, and striping. An add option is included in the project that may add the milling, paving, and striping of Port Road and River Edge Road, which is the current access to Lowery Island off Jerry St. Pe' Highway (SR 617). All other related items of work required to complete the project as shown and specified in the Contract Documents. The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. The contract time is 210 calendar days for the base bid. If the add option is awarded, then the contract time will increase to 270 calendar days.
