FY22 Hyannis Golf Course Cart Path Improvements SCOPE OF WORK The work under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform various Golf Course Cart Path improvements in the Town of Barnstable. The improvements include reclaiming of existing paved surfaces, full depth reconstruction, sub-base preparation and installation of hot mix asphalt base and top courses. The work also requires site preparation, removal and disposal of excess roadway materials, repair and adjustment of drainage structures and utility gate boxes, street sweeping, application of asphalt tack coat, construction-related safety signage, minor restoration work, and all other related activities whatsoever required to complete the Golf Course Cart Path improvements as specified herein and as directed by the Engineer. The areas to be improved are provided under Attachment 1 of this bid package along with a brief description of the improvements expected and corresponding maps identifying the limits of work at each area of the Golf Course Cart Path. The Town reserves the right to delete areas and/or quantities from the project if unforeseen circumstances arise or add areas and/or quantities to the project if schedule and budget allow. Bid prices submitted shall apply to quantities either added or deleted during the work. The Town requires that all hot mix asphalt installed under this project be batched and delivered from a batching plant within a 20 mile radius of the street being paved. All work done under this contract shall be in conformance with the Massachusetts Highway Department Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges dated 2021, the latest available Construction Standard Details, the latest Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways with Massachusetts Amendments, the 1990 Standard Drawings for Signs and Supports, the 1968 Standard Drawings for Traffic Signals and Highway Lighting, and the latest edition of American Standard for Nursery Stock.
