This Contract provides for the installation of approximately 3,400 linear feet of sewer main from South 41st Street to Nugent Street, side sewer connections, traffic control, and surface restoration. The work shall also include joint grouting and trenchless repair, along Terrace Heights Drive, the Selah-Moxee Canal, and the Sun Country Estates development. All work shall be completed in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Special Provisions and the Standard Specifications. To provide flexibility for material lead times, the District will allow the project to be constructed in 2022 or 2023 and will coordinate issuance of the Notice to Proceed with the Contractor based on material lead times. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the District Manager, District Office, Yakima, Washington. The Terrace Heights Sewer District expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities in any Proposal. The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the "Terrace Heights Sewer District" and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount. This project is funded through the Washington State Public Works Board program with state funds. All work performed on this project will be subject to state prevailing wage rates.
