A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Consultant shall provide final engineering design and construction plan preparation for the Pine Hills Road Trail Phase 2C from Bonnie Brae Circle, located 500' north of North Lane, to Clarcona Ocoee Road. The project consists of the design of a 10 to 14-foot-wide concrete multi use trail that will connect to the existing 1.14 Miles section of Pine Hills Trail Phase 2B, from Belco Drive to North Lane. The total length of the trail is approximately 0.9 Miles. This trail will serve as an important connection between the various trail systems in Orange County and across the central Florida region. Trail amenities will include water fountains (where potable water is available), trash containers, pet waste stations and park benches. Amenity location, specifications and model type will be provided by Orange County Parks and Recreation Division. The Consultant shall prepare the necessary engineering study to determine whether pedestrian-activated traffic signals, Rapid Flashing Beacons, or any other device at the intersection of the trail with Clarcona Ocoee Road and North Lane are warranted in accordance with the current edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (FHWA). The Consultant shall perform those engineering services required to prepare a complete set of contract documents (plans and specifications) as described elsewhere herein. Technical concerns/questions shall be submitted in writing, no later than 4:00 p.m. on November 7, 2022 The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Proposals that it may in its sole discretion deem non responsive, to waive technicalities, or to accept the Proposal which, in its sole judgment, is most advantageous and best serves the over-all interests of the County. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
