As of April 15, 2024, per owner a design engineering team has been identified. There is currently no general contractor. Project will bid for this likely by the end of 2024 or early 2025. Construction expected in 2025. The South Carolina Ports Authority (SCPA) is accepting proposals for Professional Engineering Services for the Wando Welch Terminal (WWT) Wharf Expansion. These services include planning, topographic & bathymetric surveying, geotechnical exploration and assessment, investigation and evaluation of adjacent existing structures, detailed design (structural, geotechnical, electrical), and the preparation of bid and construction documents.
