Plans call for the construction of a nearly three-quarter-acre park at the northeast corner of Van Ness and Weldon Avenues. Amenities include drinking fountains, bocce ball courts, playground and exercise stations. The city will also plant around 12 trees. This is one of the first community-approved Measure P projects for the city to deliver. As of June 6, 2022, the project is in design. An architect has been selected. The project is anticipated to be advertised for construction bids in December 2022.
