PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project proposes to repair damages steel members and connections that were impacted by a vehicle strike on the evening of December 19, 2018. The repairs consist of heat straightening of existing truss members, rivet removal and replacement with high strength bolts in damaged connections, and repair of the Midwest guardrail system attached to the inside of the truss. In order to get access to the damaged connection below the concrete sidewalk, a portion of the sidewalk will be removed and later replaced with rapid setting concrete. The project also includes the touch up painting of the repaired areas to match the existing paint system applied in the early 2000's. Project Location: The project site is located on Arnold Drive at Postmile 17.38, near the community of Eldridge. The living wage rate required under the County's Living Wage Ordinance (LWO) has increased. Effective January 1, 2022, the living wage rate required under the LWO shall be $16.75 per hour, an increase over the previous $15.00 per hour. The adjustment was adopted by the County's Board of Supervisors on December 14, 2021, in accordance with Sonoma Municipal Code section 2-377(d). All covered employees must be paid at least the increased living wage rate.
