Island Health is implementing a new electronic records keeping system called I-Health at West Coast General Hospital. The I-Health initiative is a recording and reporting tool, enabling electronic health documentation, communication, scheduling, ordering and standardization. This project will be to install the necessary electrical and data infrastructure required to support the implementation throughout the entire site. Below is a high level scope of the work required: General power and data scope throughout the building: Departments affected by this work include, but are not limited to: ED, ICU, OR, Medical Surgical, Hallways, & LDR. Add data cabling and outlets for clinical staff workstations Add required power for clinical workstations Installation of backing and wall mounted workstations All work to completed following CSA standards for healthcare work Labour and Delivery Department Scope: Complete construction, electrical, and data requirements throughout the Labour and Delivery assessment rooms. Each of the six LDR rooms will require full shutdowns with negative pressure and all CSA Z317.17 hoarding to separate resident areas. Plywood backing installation behind drywall to receive ERGOTRON wall brackets Installation of ERGOTRON wall brackets (supplied by owner) Minimal demolition Drywall patching Painting Minor millwork alterations General requirements and conditions of the contract Coordination and management of the work of all sub-contractors Coordination of interior access, work hours, noise and dust control with FDC staff. Z32 bonding + grounding testing coordination in patient rooms.
