Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Granite City, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
**As of July 25, 2022, this project has been awarded to Hank’s Excavating & Landscaping, Inc, in the amount of $664,308.20. The proposed work consists of installing new storm sewers, drainage structures, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and pavement on Venice and Ball Avenues in the Bellemore Subdivision. This work also includes pavement patching, curb ramps, and all other ancillary items as shown on the plans. Plans, specifications and contract documents are also available for examination at Southern Illinois Builders in O'Fallon, Illinois. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days of the scheduled time of closing bids. The successful bidder will be required to execute and present performance and payment bonds in a sum equal to the full amount of the contract. Bids must be for the contract as a whole. The successful bidder will be required to agree that not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Secretary of Labor and made a part of these contract documents shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing their work under this contract. Granite City reserves the right to waive, or not to waive, any irregularities in the bids and to reject any or all bids and to determine which is the lowest and best bid.
