Site work and paving for a road / highway in Mount Airy, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of December 1, 2022, construction is underway. A timeline for completion has not been established as the pace of construction will be weather permitting. The Town of Mount Airy is soliciting bids from Excavation Contractors for the installation of a soil and asphalt cap over an abandoned railroad line to extend the Town s Rails-To-Trails program. There will not be a pre-bid meeting for this project . However, the Contractor may contact the Town Engineer with any questions or to visit the premises. Inquiries concerning the scope and bidding documents or other technical questions shall be directed to the Town Engineer at 301-829-1424 (if automated phone system, select engineering). The Town of Mount Airy hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any and all Bids and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in any Bid, and to accept the Bid which, in the judgment of the Owner, is to its best interest. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time. Interested subcontractors should contact the general contractor directly for more information.
