For Overlay and Rehabilitation for Bridge on US 40 over I-70 Latex Modified Concrete (Epoxy Polymer) overlay and minor rehabilitation for dual steel beam bridge on US 40 over I-70, east of Hagerstown. Maintenance of traffic along US 40 will utilize staged construction techniques to maintain one (1) lane of traffic in each direction during construction. The work for this project will also include the following: removing portions of existing concrete bridge decks, removing and replacing existing concrete parapets, endpost, expansion joints, abutment backwalls, and scuppers, removing elastomeric bearing pads for the end spans and replacing with steel bearings, cleaning and painting of the structural steel, removing bridge-mounted signs for I-70 and replacing them with ground-mounted cantilever signs, installation of approach guardrails, and signing and pavement marking.
