Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Kitzmiller, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Bid Description: The Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County, Maryland will accept sealed bids for replacing two (2) undersized culverts crossing North American Road and North Hill Road just west of Kitzmiller, Maryland. The existing culverts will be replaced with aluminum box culverts (ALBC). The project also includes the construction of an imbricated rip-rap wall installed downstream of the North Hill Road ALBC to stabilize the embankment. The Wolfden Culvert Replacement Project is the final phase of a project reclaiming impacts related to an abandoned surface mine. A performance/payment bond in the full bid amount will be required of the successful contractor.
